Novalume is honored and delighted to be showcasing a successful customer story as part of the C40 World Mayors Summit taking place in Copenhagen 9-12 October 2019.
On the second day of the summit, 10 October, the Cities and Business Forum, hosted by the Confederation of Danish Industry (DI) and entitled ‘Partnering for the future we want’, will consider how private sector support is essential for cities to meet their climate goals.
NOVALUME CUSTOMER CASE TO BE PRESENTED
Novalume has been selected by DI to present the customer case of our public-private collaboration with the municipality of Talca, Chile.
City leaders will learn about the project of installing 27,000 streetlights to give the city reliable LED street lighting, the unique Danish Lumintell™ system – for Smart Lighting Control and sensor integration for Smart Data – and public Wi-Fi. Crucially, we will show how the project resulted in a 66% reduction in electricity costs and a cut of 2,227 tons in CO2 emissions.
GLOBAL SUMMIT FOR LOCAL CLIMATE ACTION
Mayors and city officials from more than 90 cities around the world, representing more than 700 million citizens and one quarter of the global economy, have been invited to the Danish capital for an ambitious climate summit named ‘The Future We Want’.
The summit will explore the ways in which leading cities, businesses and citizens can work to deliver the most ambitious goals of the Paris Agreement at a local level.
Novalume will be on hand to advise how we can reduce cities’ lighting carbon footprint by up to 75%, as well as seamlessly incorporating smart sensors to keep track of environmental indicators and successfully launch other environmental initiatives.
