With a significant reduction of CO2 emissions, maintenance costs, energy consumption (60% of savings on average) and better lighting with LED technology, the three municipalities Jamundí, El Cerrito and Guacarí are ready to improve public services and become a Smart City.

The new lighting plan of 6,500 LED urban and streetlights with excellent photometric performance was selected along with the "pay as you save" financial model by Novalume Solutions. The solution resulted in an improvement of the public lighting in the three municipalities, which contributed to a safer and more sustainable environment, enhancing their citizens’ quality of life.

The three municipalities also benefited from Novalume Solutions' one-stop-shop approach: one contract and one point of contact. Novalume Solutions always works with local partners who service the LED lighting installation. They carry out the installation and are responsible for maintaining it.
